Ingredients:
- 4–6 ripe tomatoes (Roma or beefsteak work well)
- ½ cup water (optional, for thinner juice)
- ½ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
- ½ teaspoon sugar (optional, to balance acidity)
- Black pepper or cayenne (optional, for a little kick)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (for freshness)
- Fresh basil or celery (optional, for extra flavor)
Instructions:
- Wash and Prep: Rinse the tomatoes and remove the stems. You can peel them if you prefer a smoother juice.
- Blend: Cut the tomatoes into quarters and blend them until smooth. Add a little water if needed.
- Strain (Optional): If you like a smoother texture, pour the blended mixture through a fine sieve or cheesecloth to remove pulp and seeds.
- Season: Add salt, sugar, lemon juice, and any spices you like. Stir well.
- Chill & Serve: For the best taste, refrigerate for 30 minutes before drinking. Serve over ice or as a base for cocktails or soups.
