How to Make a Strawberry Blueberry Juice
If you're looking for a refreshing and tasty natural juice that's rich in antioxidants, you might want to make a DIY strawberry blueberry juice. Strawberry blueberry juice has a nice colour and is full of vitamins and nutrients, so drinking a glass of it will give you a good intestinal cleansing and a good dose of Vitamin C. Besides, it's very easy to make! Let me show you step by step.
Ingredients you'll need
1 cup fresh strawberries (washed)
1/2 cup fresh blueberries (washed)
1/2 cup water (or coconut water, which has more electrolytes)
1 teaspoon honey (optional, or some fructose if you don't have it)
Squeeze of lemon juice (to add a touch of freshness)
Ice cubes (if you like it chilled)
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare the fruit: First hull the strawberries, then rinse the strawberries and blueberries in cold water. Fresh ripe berries taste best. Soak the strawberries in ice water to get a better pulp texture.
Step 2: Blend: Place strawberries, blueberries, water (or coconut water) and honey (if using) in a blender.
Step 3: Add Lemon Juice: Squeeze in a small drop of lemon juice to enhance the flavour and give the berries a slight tartness to their natural sweetness.
Step 4: Blend until smooth: Blend all ingredients together until you have a smooth, fresh juice. If you prefer a thinner consistency, add a little more water.
Strain (optional): If you prefer your juice to be pulp-free, you can strain it through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth screen.
