Ingredients :
1 avocado
1 handful of spinach leaves (about 50g)
1 banana
10 almonds
200ml milk
ice cubes
Steps
Wash the spinach leaves, blanch in boiling water for 1 - 2 minutes, then remove from the water, squeeze out and set aside. This removes the oxalic acid from the spinach and gives it a softer flavour.
Cut the avocado in half, remove the core and skin, and cut the flesh into small pieces.
Peel the banana and cut into small pieces. For a sweeter smoothie, choose a ripe banana.
Take about 10 almonds and chop them slightly. You can also just use 1 - 2 tablespoons of almond flour if you have it.
Put the prepared avocado pieces, banana segments, blanched spinach leaves and chopped almonds in a blender.
Pour in 200ml of milk, the amount of milk can be adjusted according to personal preference, if you prefer a thinner smoothie, you can add more milk.
Add ice cubes, depending on your personal preference of smoothie consistency and chilliness. Generally, 8 - 10 ice cubes are sufficient.
Start the blender and blend all the ingredients into a fine smoothie. If the blender is low-powered, you can blend in several batches or stop the machine after blending for a while, scrape off the ingredients at the edges with a spoon, and then continue blending to ensure that all the ingredients are well blended and mixed well.
Thus, a nutritious and creamy avocado spinach banana almond milk smoothie is ready. You can enjoy it immediately for its chilled and delicious taste. If you like, you can also sprinkle some extra chopped almonds or other chopped nuts on the top of the smoothie as a garnish.
